He studied acupuncture at the Beijing and Chengdu Colleges of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the early 1980's. Arnie originally trained in massage, botanical medicine, and manipulative therapies before pursuing Oriental Medical studies. He is the author of Energetic Healing: Embracing the Life Force, Acupuncture Points: Images & Functions and co-author of Chinese Exercise and Massage, and Tao & Dharma: Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda.
